The Joyson family have run the Ribchester Arms and Country Inn since 2001. Maria and Stephen have over twenty years experience in the hospitality industry. Their son Leon has been working alongside them for thirteen years and is now the proud licensee of the Ribchester Arms. Leon also enjoys the prestigious position of head chef. As a family, the Joyson’s have enjoyed success with former restaurants since 1982. Maria’s experience in the trade started much earlier, her parents owned a very popular restaurant in the town of Bolton in 1960. ‘Chez Aristotle’ was a first class restaurant still remembered by the most discerning diners, many of whom have followed her throughout her career which started with ‘The Villager’ restaurant in 1982. Stonebridge Restaurant in RibchesterThe Stonebridge Restaurant in Ribchester was purchased by the family in 1992. A highly respected restaurant, The Stonebridge Restaurant was closed in 2004 to allow the family to take on their biggest challenge to date; The Ribchester Arms and Country Inn. Popular Venues within the Ribble ValleySince the family purchased The Ribchester Arms, it has been transformed into one of the most popular venues within the Ribble Valley. Winning the ‘Regional Pub of the Year’ award in 2004, The Ribchester Arms now has four en suite rooms each beautifully furnished. With alfresco dining both front and rear, the restaurant has a reputation for friendly service and high quality food, making it very popular for all family celebrations with menus planned to suit every occasion. |
